1. Error code E-02

E-02 error code in the LG microwave indicated the convection mode where the temperature doesn’t rise more than 100℃, affecting the cooking quality.

A faulty convection relay may trigger the E-02 error code in the LG microwave.

To fix this issue, you must replace the PCB.

Follow the steps below to replace the PCB:

Before beginning the repair, purchase the new PCB based on the model of your LG microwave.

Ensure you get the branded PCB because poor quality PCB will fail soon and may cause inconvenience soon.

You can locate the information regarding the model number of your microwave in the user manual.

Or at the side of the microwave where details are listed on the stickers.

  • Unplug the microwave from the electric outlet to prevent yourself from electric elocution.
  • As microwaves are high-voltage electric appliances, they bear high-voltage capacitors which hold electric charges even after unplugging them from the electric outlet. So, you must let it undisturbed for 10 to 20 minutes after the power is shut off. This way, a capacitor will lose all the electric charges before you come in contact with it.
  • Open the microwave and remove all the removable parts, like the grill stand and vent. The grill is secured in the microwave with the clips; twist them carefully to remove the grill from the microwave.
  • Access the bottom panel of the microwave and remove the screws attached to disconnect it from the microwave. 
  • Lift and pull the microwave to move it from the cabinet and place it on a solid surface to work comfortably.
  • Access the front panel of the LG microwave. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws securing the front panel. Pull the front panel forward.
  • Remove the microwave’s control panel by disconnecting the screws securing it.
  • In addition to screws, control panels are secured with clips all around the corner. Run the slotted screwdriver around the panel to release it from the retaining clips.
  • Pull out the control panel, and you can see wires attached to the control panel.
  • Take a digital photo of the wires for future reference, so you will understand which wires to connect.
  • Disconnect the wires from the control panel by removing them from the slots.
  • You must disconnect the ground wire to disconnect the front control panel completely.
  • As a next step, you must remove the main control board. The main control board will resemble a computer chip.
  • Remove the screws holding the control board in place. And disconnect the control board from the panel.
  • You can see wires connected to the control panel. Disconnect the wire harness to remove the control board completely.
  • Replace the new control board, secure it with screws, and connect the wires you disconnected.
  • Reconnect the control panel and secure it with the screws you removed.
  • Reattach the front panel and bottom pane, and secure them with the screws you removed.
  • Move the microwave to the cabinet and secure it with the bolts.
  • Plug in the microwave and check if the error code, E-02, has disappeared.

In such a case, you must replace the temperature sensor. 

Follow the steps below to replace the temperature sensor in the LG microwave:

  • Unplug the LG microwave from the electric outlet.
  • Remove the grill and racks using a Philip screwdriver to remove the screws securing them.
  • Disconnect the control panel from the microwave oven by removing the screws securing them. To access the screws, you need to open the microwave’s door.
  • Pull the microwave’s control panel and disconnect it completely by detaching the wires and grounding wires attached to it. Before disconnecting the wires, consider taking a digital photo for future reference.
  • You can find the thermistor in the left corner after detaching the control panel.
  • Remove the screws securing the thermistor and disconnect them from the microwave.
  • Check the thermistor with the multimeter to check its continuity. If the thermistor doesn’t show any reading, replace it.
  • Purchase the thermistor based on the model of your microwave.
  • Replace it in the place of the old thermistor and secure it with the screws.
  • Reattach the control panel and connect all the wires to the digital photo you took. Secure the control panel with the screws.
  • Reattach the grill and racks and secure them with screws and clips.

  • Locate the temperature sensor after disconnecting the control panel. 
  • And access the rear panel of the microwave and disconnect it by removing the screws using a screwdriver.
  • Now you can access the wires connection. Check if they are burnt and loose, and replace them.
  • Carefully disconnect the wires and replace the new ones.
  • Once done, reattach the control panel and rear panel. Secure those panels with screws and make necessary wire connections.
  • Plug the microwave into the electric outlet and check if the error code has disappeared.

Replace the electric oven control

3. Error code e-10

Before beginning the repair, purchase the new touchpad based on the model of the LG microwave.

  • Unplug the microwave from the electric outlet to prevent electrical hazards.
  • A high-voltage capacitor in the microwave holds the electric charge for a significant time, even after unplugging the microwave from the electric outlet. So, please don’t work on the microwave immediately after you unplug it from the electric outlet. Let it sit for 20 minutes. In the meantime, the capacitor will lose the electric charge.
  • After 20 minutes, open the microwave’s door and disconnect all the removable parts of the life grill and racks, including the turntable.
  • Twist and remove the clips securing the grills and racks to the microwave. Carefully detach the grill and racks from the microwave and set them aside.
  • Access the bottom panel of the microwave and disconnect it by removing the screws securing it.
  • Lift and pull the microwave to move it from the cabinet and place it in a comfortable place to work.
  • Now, access the front panel of the microwave and detach it by removing the screws.
  • Detach the control panel from the microwave by removing the screws securing it.
  • And you can see clips securing the control panel and disconnecting the control panel from the microwave using a slotted screwdriver
  • When you pull forward the control panel, you can see wires connected to it. Disconnect the harness and ground wire from the control panel to disconnect it completely. Consider taking a digital photo of the wire connection for future reference.
  • You can now access the control board after removing the control panel.
  • Unscrew the screws to disconnect the control board from the microwave.
  • You can locate the touchpad under the control panel.
  • Peel the touchpad and discard it.
  • Replace the new touchpad and make the necessary connections.
  • Reattach the control board, secure it with screws, and make necessary wire connections by referring to the photo you took.
  • Reattach the control board and secure it with screws.
  • Move the microwave to the cabinet and secure it in place.

Plug in the microwave and check if the error code has disappeared. 

4. Error code E-03

Error code E-03 indicates cooling issues in the microwave.

It means that the temperature is stuck at 100℃ even after reaching 30 minutes. 

Common causes of the issues are faulty thermistors and faulty PCB board. 

You can fix the error code by simply resetting it if control panel glitches are causing the issues. 

You can reset the microwave by unplugging it from the electric outlet and plugging it back after 10 minutes. 

If the error code is still showing, you must replace the PCB board or the thermistor. 

Check the resistance of the thermistor using a multimeter.

If it shows no continuity, a thermistor is faulty you must replace it. 

If the thermistor is in good condition, the PCB will be at fault.

Consider replacing it following the steps mentioned earlier. 

5. Error code E-05

The error code E-05 occurs when the temperature goes as high as 70℃ even though you set the temperature at 40℃. 

To fix this issue, disconnect the power supply from the electric outlet and open the microwave oven doors.

  • Let the microwave oven cool down for 30 minutes.
  • Plug in the microwave and switch it on.
  • Choose the convection mode and reset the temperature to 40℃.
  • Most of the time, doing this will help to clear the E-05 error code.

6 Ways To Fix Loose Drum In Washing Machine

A washing machine is among the essential appliances that you use in your daily life. It makes washing your clothes easy. But if the washing machine’s drum is loose and makes noise during the spinning, it can get annoying.

A worn drum, an unleveled washing machine, an overloaded drum, or a broken rear drum might be the reasons behind a loose drum in your washer. To fix these problems, check the inner and outer parts of your washing machine to find the exact reason for the loose drum, and fix the issue accordingly.

In this article, I will explain the exact reasons and fixes for loose drum problems in a washing machine. So, keep reading.

Why is my washer drum loose?

These are some reasons why a washing machine drum might be loose.

1. Worn dampening straps

The dampening straps hold the tub inside the washing machine.

The 4 dampening straps are located in 4 corners of the washing and help reduce the drum’s vibration due to spinning.

If any of the 4 straps are worn out or damaged, the drum will loosen up, and you have to replace all four.

2. Damaged suspension springs

The suspension springs hold the washing machine’s outer tub when loaded with clothes.

They are located at the base of the top-loaded washing machine and the top or the side frame of the front-loaded washing machine.

If they are worn, or one of the springs is damaged, you should replace all the springs to avoid losing the washing machine drum.

3. Damaged shock absorbers

The shock absorber is located between the outer tab and the base frame.

The drum has two tubs, outer and inner.

The outer tub secures the inner tab, and the inner tab helps in washing the clothes.

The base frame is located behind the washing machine.

It holds the gearbox and motor.

The shock absorber helps move the inner drum smoothly, but if the drum is losing and making a loud noise, there might be problems with the shock absorbers.

4. Broken drum bearings

Drum bearings are small metal rings that help to spin the drum.

It is located behind the drum of a front-loaded drum and the bottom of the top-loaded drum.

But for long uses, the bearings can wear out or be broken.

And this can cause a loose drum.

5. The washing machine isn’t level

Sometimes, an unleveled or unbalanced washing machine can cause a loose drum issue in the washing machine.

If the washing machine isn’t leveled according to the surface or the locknuts on the base of the legs, the drum will get loose.

6. The drum screw is loose

The drum of the washing machine is held by some screws.

And you can access the screws from the back side of the washing machine.

If the screws aren’t tightened up, the drum can be loose and make loud noise during spinning.

6 ways to fix loose drum in a washing machine

Here is how you can fix the loose drum.

1. Replace worn dampening straps

If the dampening straps of your washing machine are worn out, you should replace them with new dampening straps.

To do that, you have to follow the below directions:

  • The first step is disconnecting your washing machine’s power and water supply.
  • Now, unscrew the control panel.
  • Once the screws are removed, move the control panel slightly forward and slide it sideways to the left.
  • Now disconnect the panel wire harness and the clips on the wire harness.
  • Once it is done, take a couple of spring clips that are 3 inches in size and depress them in the top space of the front panel. Now pull out the front panel and take it aside.
  • Now you find two screws that secure the top of the washing machine cabinet, unscrew them using a quarter screwdriver.
  • Slide the top of the cabinet forward, gently lift it and set it aside.
  • Now, look through the top of the cabinet. You can find 4 dampening straps on 4 each corner. To replace one of the dampening straps, you must replace all 4 dampening straps.
  • Take a hex-inch head screwdriver, remove the screw that holds the dampening strap to the tub, and lift the strap off. Also, unscrew the screw attached to the cabinet mount near the cabinet wall.
  • Now remove the old strap from the tub and put the new dampening strap in the black cabinet mount. Make sure it is seated fully, then lock the tab into the cabinet through a rectangular slot. Push it up, tilt it into place, and hold and screw it. Make sure you don’t over-tighten it. And now, do the same with all 4 dampening straps.
  • Finally, reinstall all the parts.

2. Replace the suspension spring

If your washing machine is balanced, but the drum inside the washing machine is shaking, there must be an issue with the suspension springs.

In this case, you should replace the suspension spring.

Before replacing the suspension spring, you have to access it.

  • To access the suspension spring, you must remove the washing machine’s front panel because the springs are located behind it.
  • We have to tip back the top panel assembly to remove the front panel.
  • Before lifting the top, use a piece of tape to prevent the lid from opening.
  • Now use a putty knife to press in and release the clip that holds the top panel in place and do the same for the other side.
  • Now you can tip back to the top.
  • Now, look through the top inside the machine.
  • You can find two screws that hold the top panel. You have to loosen and remove these screws.
  • Use a screwdriver to loosen up and remove the two screws.
  • Once the screws are removed, tilt the front panel forward and lift it. And that’s the way you can remove it from the washing machine. Now take it aside.
  • Once the front panel is removed, you can see the six suspension springs at the machine’s base.
  • Now remove the springs. To do so, use a pair of locking pliers, simply grab on the springs, lock it in place, and now pull up, and that’s how you can take the spring out of its mounting.
  • Then you need to rotate the spring slightly from the bottom, and you can pull it out of its mouth.
  • To install the new spring, add a dab of grease to the bottom of the spring, install it in the cabinet or the mouth hole, and rotate it around until the ends come out.
  • After it, use a pair of locking pliers to grab onto the spring, then carefully pull it up and put it in position.
  • Now reinstall the front panel, the top panel, and all the other parts.

3. Replace the shock absorbers

The shock absorbers help the inner drum move smoothly.

But if the drum is loosened up, you must check the shock absorbers once. 

And if you see the shock absorber or absorbers damaged, you must replace them.

To replace the shock absorber, you can follow the steps:

  • Disconnect the wire from the main and the hoses.
  • Take two blocks and place them under the washing machine. To do that, you must tilt its backside.
  • Take a nut driver and remove the bottom access panel by simply unscrewing the screws.
  • Begin with the two outside ones first, then remove the center one last. You need to maintain the machine when removing the screws.
  • Let the access panel drop, pull it away, and set it aside.
  • Now you can access both front shock absorbers. They are attached to the base of the machine with a locking pin. The locking pin has a little lock tab on the side of it.
  • To retract the locking tab first, you must press it in and tap the pin completely out of its socket.
  • At the top portion of the shock absorber, you can find a little arrowhead fastening the twists into an opening in the bottom of the tub. Turn it 90 degrees by using a wrench and drop them out of the tub.
  • Now reach into the access panel and depress the locking tab on the pin.
  • Now remove the pins from the base brackets by using pliers and adjust them so you can catch one jaw with the pliers against the end of the pin and the opposite jaw against the mounting bracket on the bottom of the washing machine. Or you can use a large flat-blade screwdriver and get it in behind the head of the pin and depress the locking tab simultaneously.
  • Once the pin is started to move, grasp it with the pliers and pull it out. Now discard the original pin.
  • Once it is done, pull out the base of the shock absorbers of the bracket and turn the upper portion 90 degrees by using a wrench until it pops out of the opening.
  • Now remove the old shock absorbers.
  • To install the new shock absorber, position it on top, put the arrowhead opening, and then turn it 90 degrees clockwise.
  • Now take the pin and push it into the opening till it lines it up. You can push it by hand.
  • Do the same procedure on the right side of the base to replace another shock absorber.
  • Now reinstall all the parts and structure it completely.

This completes the replacement procedure.

4. Replace the worn bearings

If the drum of the washing machine loses up, then the bearings must have a problem.

If the bearings are damaged or worn out from long use, you should replace them with new ones.

To replace the bearings, you need to follow these steps:

  • Before starting anything, disconnect the washing machine from the mains and switch off the hoses.
  • After disconnecting the machine, unscrew and remove the lid.
  • Remove the soap drawer and disconnect the hoses on the back of the draw housing.
  • Then lift the housing and move it out of the way.
  • Next, remove the retaining spring holding the door seal to the front panel.
  • Now remove the control panel and bottom access panel.
  • Now remove the front panel by unscrewing it. To do that, you must also disconnect the door lock from the inside.
  • Now check the bottom of the washing machine and disconnect the pressure chamber and hose from underneath the tub.
  • Then check any other pipes connected to the front tub and disconnect them.
  • Next, unscrew and remove the rear panel back side of the machine.
  • Remove and disconnect the drum motor. If your machine is not a direct drive machine, remove the pulley and belt.
  • Now disconnect all the electric connections. And also, check around the drum if you find any other connections and disconnect them.
  • Take off any removal weights fitted to the tub. These can also be located at the bottom of the back.
  • Remove the dumper pins connected to the dumper and pull them out. If the damper can be removed, disconnect the dumper at the other end.
  • Remove the spring from the top of the cabinet and lift the drum out.
  • Now place the drum on a mat or the floor. And unscrew all the bolts holding the two tubs of the drum together. If there are any clips, you also need to disconnect them.
  • Now separate the two halves.
  • Using a soft-face hammer or mallet, tap the end of the drum shaft to release it from the bearings. You may need a socket extension to push it out.
  • Remove the heater from the tub so that you can lay the tub down flat.
  • Use a screwdriver to pull the seal out of the tub. When the seal is removed, apply the penetrating fluid on the inner bearing to make it easier to remove.
  • Turn the tub over and use the soft face hammer and drift to knock the inner bearing out of the tub. Now turn the tub back over to remove the outer bearing.
  • After both bearings are removed, clean the housing before knocking on the new bearings.
  • Now knock the bearing, and ensure you are applying pressure evenly around the side with a soft face hammer, not at the center until it is fully located.
  • Now push the new seal into the bearing housing.
  • Now lower the drum of the tub so that the shaft sits into the bearing.
  • Then add the two halves correctly and reinstall the drum inside the machine frame. Also, reinstall other parts of the machine and set it properly.

5. Level the washing machine

If your washing machine is shaking when washing the clothes, there might be a leveling problem.

If the washer is not leveled up with the floor or is not set properly, it causes losing the drum.

To fix the issue, you first follow the steps:

  • Take a spirit level and check the top of the washing machine to see if it is leveled.
  • If the top of the machine is leveled, still your washing machine is shaking, then check the legs of the machine and raise the lower metal or rubber legs.

6. Tighten the drum screws

The loosened drum screws are also liable for a loose drum issue.

To fix the issue, you should tighten the screws.

To tighten the drum screws:

  • Remove the rear panel of the washing machine.
  • And then, you can get access to all the screws added to the drum.
  • Tighten them up and attach the rear panel door.

You must replace the heating element if there is very high or low resistance.

  • Replace the new temperature sensor with the heating element and put it in the slot.
  • Secure the heating element with the bolt using a screwdriver.
  • Redo the wire connecting using a photo you took.
  • Reattach the front panel and secure it with screws.
  • Reattach the door seal and secure it with the retaining clip.
  • Reattach the control panel and secure it with the screws. 
  • Secure the top panel with screws and attach the detergent drawer.
  • Plug in the washer and check if the error code E4 has disappeared. 

If the error code persists, there will be issues with the heat relay.

5. Error code E-6

E6 error code in the Bosch washing machine occurs when there are draining issues.

The main causes of draining issues are a clogged drain hose, dirty filter, or drain pump issues.

Unclog the drain hose.

Drain hoses expel the water from the washing machine after the drain cycle.

If the drain hose is clogged, water won’t drain from the washing machine resulting in the E-6 error code. 

Follow the steps to unclog the drain hose:

  • Begin by disconnecting the power supply from the washing machine.
  • Move the washer to the comfortable place from the cabinet to work comfortably.
  • Access the back side of the washing machine. 
  • Disconnect the drain hose from the washing machine using a wrench to release the clamps holding it in place.

Follow the steps below to unclog the drain hose:

  • Disconnect the power supply from the washer.
  • Move your washer from the wall to access the drain hose at the back of the washer.
  • Check if the drain hose is kinked and bent. Straighten it to facilitate easy water flow.
  • If the drain hose is completely damaged, you must replace it with a new hose.

3. Error code OE

The OE error code in the Samsung washer indicated the overfilling water issues.

Overfilling in the Samsung washer happens due to the following reason.

If the water sensor is faulty, overfilling occurs, and an OE error appears in the control panel. 

Follow the steps below to replace the water sensor:

  • Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.
  • Move the washer from its original position to access the back panel.
  • You can locate the water level sensor on the back side of the washer.
  • You need to remove the back cover and rear access panel to access it.
  • Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the Phillips screws securing the back cover. Push the cover to detach it from the washer.

To fix this issue, you must unclog the drain hose by following the steps mentioned in error code 1. 

Check if the drain hose is loosely connected and leaking water. 

Follow the steps below to tighten the drain hose:

  • Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.
  • Move it from its original position to access the drain hose.
  • Using a wrench, detach the hose and check it for any damages. 
  • If it is damaged, replace the drain hose.
  • Or else fit it in the water supply line. Tighten it using a wrench.
  • Plug in the washer and start the washing cycle.
  • If the water flows, the 1E error code will stop showing on display.
  • Another cause of this issue is the failure of the water level sensor. Follow the steps mentioned in error code 3 to replace the faulty water level sensor. 

5. Error code UB

The UB error code in the Samsung washer occurs when your washer is in an off-balanced load.

If control panel glitches are causing the error codes, resetting the washer will solve the issue. 

If the error code appears back, you must check if your washer is placed on the leveled surface.

As microwaves are sensitive appliances, it is common to experience faults.

When at fault, the microwave control display will communicate it through the error code.

Error codes are mixed numbers and letters displayed in the control panel to indicate specific faults and failings.

Using a Samsung microwave, you must know common error codes and ways to clear those. 

Here are 5 common errors and easy steps to clear the error from the display:

1. Error code e-11

The e-11 error code in the Samsung microwaves indicates that the humidity sensor is at fault.

A humidity sensor’s function is to prevent the food from getting too dry.

It monitors the humidity inside the microwave to prevent overcooking and undercooking of food. 

The humidity sensor is on the left side behind the rear panel.

It helps balance the moisture in the food and lets you enjoy perfectly cooked food. 

If the humidity sensor fails, food will come out dry.

It results in the display of an e-11 error code on the control board. 

Apart from this, wiring issues can also be the reason for the e-11 error code.

And it also happens when the control board glitches, causing this issue.

Before you move on to serious repair, consider resetting your Samsung microwave. 

Follow the steps below to hard reset your Samsung microwave:

  • Move the microwave from its original position and place it in a comfortable position to work.
  • If the wires are too short, not letting you move the microwave, you can disconnect the wires by removing the screws and fixing them in a place using a screwdriver
  • Remove the rear panel by unscrewing the screws holding the panel in place. 
  • You can access the humidity sensor after removing the panel. Locate the clips holding the humidity sensor. Twist the humidity sensor clips to disconnect the sensor completely from the microwave oven. 
  • Purchase the new sensor based on the model of your Samsung microwave. It will cost around 20 to 30 dollars.
  • Replace it with the old sensor and secure it with the screws using a screwdriver.
  • Reattach the back panel of the microwave and secure it with screws.
  • Reattach all the wires you disconnected and move the device to its original position.
  • Reattach the washer into its place. And attach the flangers and secure them with the cabinet.
  • Reattach all the racks you remove, including the turntable.

There is common practice among people to open and close the microwave’s door to stop the sound and clear the error, but that’s not going to work if the issue is severe.

You can move on to the repair process after resetting your Samsung microwave. 

  • Unplug it from the electric outlet.
  • Let it stay disconnected for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Plug it back after 10 minutes.
  • Switch it on and see if the SE error code has disappeared.

If the SE error code persists, follow the steps below to fix the issue. 

A control panel is an association of several keys and electrical switches.

These electrical switches contain conductive material on their inner surface, while the outer surface is made of a double layer of Mylar plastic. 

There will be a gap between the layers to give you an idea of how it works.

The plastic layer will contact the conductive surface when a user touches a particular button.

It is how it sends the signal to the touchpad, and the respective function is performed in the microwave. 

In the long run, a conductive material will deteriorate, and it cannot pass the signals to the touchpad, resulting in the touchpad that doesn’t respond. 

You can check the connectivity of the touchpad using a multimeter.

If it shows no continuity, you must replace the touchpad. 

Follow the steps below to replace the touchpad:

  • Unplug the microwave from the electric outlet. And wait until 10 to 30 minutes because a capacitor will store the electricity even after unplugging the microwave.
  • You can find the grill on the upper side of the microwave. Disconnect the grill from the microwave by removing the clips which are holding it in place.
  • Remove the panels around the microwaves by disconnecting the screws securing the panel.
  • Access the back side of the microwave and disconnect the cabinet from the device.
  • Now it’s time to remove the control panel. To do so, remove the screws securing the touchpad with the microwave.
  • And microwave control panels are also secured with clips to make them fit on the plastic surface. Using a screwdriver, release all the clips to disconnect the control panel entirely.
  • Disconnect the wire harness connected to the control panel. Before that, consider taking a digital photo of the wire connections for future reference, or you can label each wire.
  • Next, you have to remove the control board. Remove the screws securing the control board. And disconnect the ribbon wires connected to the control panel and keep it aside.
  • After removing the control board, you can access the touchpad.
  • Remove the faulty touchpad and throw it in a trash can.
  • Replace the new touchpad and make all the necessary connections.
  • Reattach the control board and reconnect all the wires referring to the photo you took. And reconnect the ribbon wire with the control board.
  • Reattach the control panel and secure it with the screws and clips.
  • Place the cabinet into its place and secure it.
  • Reattach the back panel and secure it with the mounting screws.
  • Place the microwave in its original place. 
  • Plug in the microwave by connecting the power cord to the electric outlet. 

Power on the microwave; the SE error code must have disappeared.

3. Error code E-24

  • Using a flat screwdriver, release the tabs connecting the temperature sensor to the microwave oven.
  • Using a screwdriver, remove the screw of the clip holding the temperature sensor to the microwave oven.
  • Purchase the new temperature sensor based on the model of your microwave.
  • Replace it and secure it with the screw.
  • Reconnect the tabs to connect the temperature sensor to the microwave.
  • Reattach the back panel with the microwave.
  • Pull it back to its original position.
  • Plug the microwave into an electric outlet.
  • Power on the microwave and check if the E-24 error has disappeared. 

If the error code persists, consider hard resetting it. 

4. Error code C-10, C-11, C-12

The error codes appear in the Samsung microwave when the gas sensor fails, when it is short, and when it is stuck open.

A gas sensor determines the amount of gas expelled from the food while it is being cooked. 

If the faults occur in the gas sensor, C-10, C-11, and C12 error occurs in the control panel. 

To fix this issue, you must replace the gas sensor.

Power on the microwave and check if the C-10, C-11, and C-12 error codes have disappeared. 

5. Error codes C-AO, C-A1, C-A2

If the error codes C-AO, C-A1, and C-A2 are displayed in the control panel, it indicates a functional error has occurred in your microwave oven.

Follow the steps I mentioned earlier to reset your microwave. 

You must replace the damper if the error appears even after resetting the microwave.

  • Begin by disconnecting the microwave from the electric outlet.
  • Move the microwave from the cabinet and place it on a solid surface to work. To do so, remove the bottom panel and unscrew the mounting screws holding the microwave to the cabinet.
  • Using a screwdriver, remove the screws of the damper cover to access the damper.
  • Slide the old damper left to remove it from the microwave oven.
  • Purchase the new damper based on the model of your Samsung microwave.
  • Replace the new damper and reattach its cover by securing it with screws.
  • Move the microwave to the cabinet and secure it with screws.
  • Reattach the bottom panel.
  • Plug the microwave into the electric outlet.

Check if the error code has disappeared.

5 Ways To Fix A Blender Leaking Through Blade

Blenders are among the most useful appliances which we use in our daily life. Imagine you are trying to make a favorite smoothie, and you pour the ingredients inside the blender jar and start blending, and you see it leaking through the blade.

There can be several reasons for a leaky blender, like a damaged rubber gasket, the drive stud being loosened up, the blades not spinning, or there can be space between the blade and the base of the blender jar. Identify the possible cause, and fix the same to prevent the blender from leaking.

In this article, I will explain why your blender leaks through the blade and how to fix it easily. So, keep reading.

Why is my blender leaking through the blade?

Before getting to the solutions, we should know why the blender leaks through the blade.

These are some reasons.

1. Damaged rubber gasket

A rubber gasket is a rubber ring that helps to prevent leakage from the blending jar.

The gasket is between the blending container or jar and the blade assembly.

It creates an air vacuum that resists the leaking of freshly blended food.

But if the rubber gasket is damaged or cracked, you should replace the gasket.

Sometimes the gasket rubber becomes thin for long use.

This can be one of the reasons why your blender is leaking through the blade.

2. Clogged rubber gasket

Sometimes the rubber gasket, located between the blending container and the blade assembly, is clogged up by food particles and dirt.

And the clogging particles can push the chamber down and create space between the jar and the blade assembly.

And through the space, the blender starts leaking.

3. Faulty gasket washer on drive stud

A gasket washer looks like a rubber gasket.

But the washer is smaller in size.

It locates under the blade and over the small metal rod.

The metal rod is a long steel arm from the back of the blender blade and connects to the motor.

This gasket washer prevents the leaking through the blade.

But for prolonged use, the washer becomes damaged or thin, which can ensure the leaking.

4. Too much space between the blade and the blender base

The blades and the bottom of the base are always tightened together.

But if some food particles clog inside the space or the blade and blender base need to be set properly, the blender starts leaking water through the space.

5. Faulty blades

A faulty blade also causes the leaking of a blender.

Blades help grind, blend, and mix the foods inside the jar.

When blending or grinding, the blades are connected to the rotating head of the motor. This motor helps the blade to blend the food.

For some reason, the blade can be faulty and slow down.

This can be a reason why your blender leaks through the blade.

6. Clogged blade area

A clogged blade area can cause the leaking of a blender.

Sometimes you can see the blender’s motor moving, but the blades are not spinning.

So there can be two reasons behind it.

Some food particles or debris are clogged inside the blade area, or the drive stud is not working properly.

7. Lose drive stud

A drive stud is a small metal rod connected to the blades inside the jar and the motor.

It helps to spin the blades.

But sometimes the drive stud gets loose, which is why the blades are not spinning.

And it can cause the leaking of the blender.

5 ways to fix the blender leaking through the blade

Here are the ways to fix a blender leaking through the blade.

1. Check the blender jar is fitted properly with the base

The blender jar is the upper part of a blender where we insert foods.

And the base is the bottom part of the jar, which is connected to the blade assembly.

To check if the blender jar properly fits the base, follow the steps below:

  1. First of all, disconnect the power supply.
  2. Remove the blending jar assembly from the blender. The bottom part of the blender is called the housing, which contains a high-speed motor and switch control.
  3. Once done, take the blender jar and check the base to see if it is wobbling. 
  4. If you find the base is loose and wobbling, you should tighten it up with the help of a wrench or your hand by moving it right.
  5. If the base is not loosened up, there must be a problem inside the base.
  6. To check the inside, you must lose the base and remove it from the jar.
  7. Now, look inside the base. Have you found any particles or dirt inside it? Then it can be the reason that your blender is leaking. The clogged particle creates space between the jar and the base assembly, that’s why it can’t fit properly. And that is the reason water is leaking.
  8. Now clean the inside of the base with dish soap and warm water. Then rinse it with clean water, and do not put everything until it is dry.

2. Replace the rubber gasket

A rubber gasket called O-Ring, located between the blending jar and the blade assembly works like a seal.

It prevents water leakage through the blade.

But if the gasket is cracked or damaged by prolonged use, you should replace it with a new rubber gasket.

To replace the rubber gasket, you need to follow the below steps:

  1. Before doing anything, you should disconnect the electric wire from the power supply.
  2. The next step is to remove the jar assembly from the blender.
  3. Now unscrew the base from the jar. And then, you can see that a blade assembly with a seal is coming from the jar. The seal is called a gasket. Sometimes the whole blade assembly with the gasket can stick to the base when you remove the base.
  4. Now take the blade assembly and remove the rubber gasket from it.
  5. Once it is done, install the new rubber gasket and seal it here. Remember, the gasket or seal goes over the top of the blade assembly, so it seals between the jar and the base of the blade assembly. It does not go into the base itself.
  6. Now place the blade assembly inside the base of the jar and screw the whole assembly back onto the jar. Make sure you don’t over-tighten it, or you can crack the base.
  7. Place the jar back into the blender and check if the leaking has stopped.

3. Clean the blades and the blades assembly

Sometimes the blades or the blades assembly can clog with food particles, debris, or other elements.

This can be a cause of why the blade is getting slow, and a slow blade can cause the leaking.

You should clean up the blades and the whole assembly to fix the issue.

  • Unplug the blender and turn off the blender switch.
  • Remove the jar from the blender.
  • Open the lid. And keep the upside down of the jar.
  • Remove the base from the jar.
  • Now you can get access to the blade assembly.
  • Unscrew the black crown shape coupler, located backside of the assembly, in the base. And pull out the blade assembly.
  • Now soak it in warm soapy water and wash it with a brush. And does not use it until it is dry.
  • Once it is dried, reversely install all the parts by following the steps. Now check if the blender is still leaking or not.

4. Fix the faulty blade

A faulty blade can be a reason why your blender is leaking through the blades.

If the blades of the blade assembly are wobbling, then it can be a reason for leaking.

To check If the blade is faulty, follow the steps below:

  • Remove the blending jar from the blender.
  • Take the jar and remove the lid.
  • Now look inside the jar and try to shake the blade. Is it wobbling? If yes, then there must be a problem with the gasket washer.
  • The gasket washers are small rubber gaskets that must stay on the blades’ small metal rod back side. The small narrow steel metal channel starts from the back of the blades. It connects the blades with the blade assembly.
  • To check the gasket washer, remove the blade from the assembly.
  • Now, remove the base of the jar. And you get access to the blade assembly.
  • Remove the blade assembly from the base and also remove the gasket in the blade assembly.
  • Now loosen up the black crown shape coupler on the backside of the blade assembly and spin it until it removes from the assembly.
  • Once it is done, once the coupler comes out, pull the blade outside. 
  • Now you can see the old rubber washer on the drive stud.
  • Pull out the washer and check if it is damaged or not. If it is damaged, then replace the washers with new washers.

If you still do not find a washer, you should wear the drive stud with one.

4. Replace the blade

Sometimes a blade can cause the leaking of a blender.

To fix it, you should replace the blades.

  • Unplug the wire and turn off the blender switch.
  • Now remove the jar from the blender.
  • Remove the lid of the jar and keep it upside down.
  • Take a nut wrench and loosen up the crown shape black coupler from the base. Now you can find the blades with the metal rod coming out.
  • Now take a new blade and install it in the same place.
  • Tighten up the black coupler. But make sure, not over-tighten. Now check if the leaking issue is resolved or not.

5. Tighten the drive stud or replace it

The drive stud is the long metal rod between the motor and the blade assembly.

When the motor starts spinning, it also helps the blades to spin.

So when you see the motor spinning but the blades are not, there must be a problem with the driving stud.

The drive stud may be loose, so you should tighten it up the drive stud.

To tighten the drive stud:

  • Unplug the power line. And take away the jar from the blender.
  • Remove the base and turn the blender around.
  • Look at the opposite side. You can find a drive shaft and a long metal rod. It should come out from the bottom of the motor.
  • Now hold the shaft with a wrench or piler. Then turn the blender on its side to attach the wrench to the drive stud.
  • To turn the drive stud clockwise to tighten it, you should hold the drive shaft rigidly.

If the drive stud is damaged, you should replace it with a new one.

To replace the new drive stud, you should follow the reverse steps of tightening the drive stud to lose it up.

Then remove the stud and remove the old stud and install a new one with all the parts.

Once it is done right up the stud.
